Google Pixel 7 Included A Hall Sensor and Bring Back Flip Cover Public backing

On Thursday, the Google Pixel 6a went on sale for the first time in India. The company's focus may now shift to the Pixel 7 lineup, which is expected to include the standard Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro. The second-generation Google Tensor SoC is expected to be included in this lineup. The lineup has been the subject of speculation, with more and more alleged specifications emerging from time to time. A debug code discovered recently suggests that the Pixel 7 may include a hall sensor.

Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman), a tech editor, discovered the aforementioned code. The existence of hall sensors is mentioned in the Pixel 7 debug documentation. According to reports, Google last used these sensors on the Pixel 2.

Rahman also speculated that the Google Pixel 6a may include a hall sensor, despite the fact that it is not mentioned in the specifications sheet. The sensor drivers are supposedly included with the handset. Hall sensors detect the magnetic field of magnets, which are typically placed in flip covers. It tells the smartphone whether the flip cover is open or closed.

The Pixel 7 could have a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 primary sensor and a Sony IMX381 ultra-wide angle sensor, according to a recent report. The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to include a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 telephoto sensor. Recently, alleged live images of this smartphone were also leaked. This alleged Pixel 7 Pro test build ran Android 13 and was codenamed 'Cheetah.' According to previous reports, it may also include a Samsung S6E3HC4 display with a resolution of 1,440x3,120 pixels.
